With the growth in factory automation comes a need to integrate sensors, actuators, and drives over a standard network protocol that supports increasing data rates and smaller equipment sizes.
Industrial Ethernet meets this need, directly connecting sensors to the cloud, bringing improved real-time performance, carrying power, and simplifying system architecture.
As well as a suitable protocol, however, industrial applications rely on robust interconnect solutions that integrate compact, ruggedised packages, EMI protection, and signal integrity performance supporting high data rates.
